2.4.4 Linear dribbling (feints)

Execution

Players are divided into several groups of at least three players each. The first player in each group has a ball (see A) and dribbles to his partner on the other side (see 1), hands off the ball there and takes over the position of the player who controls the ball (see a/b/c) and continues the dribbling relay. A pole (or cone) in the center represents an opposing player (see 2). Just before he reaches the opponent the player in possession performs a feint.

Coaching

Optimal timing of the feint for a sensible distance to the opposing player.

Perform a directional change right after the feint and increase the tempo.

Variations

Specify certain feints (body feint/step-over/feint shot).

Replace poles with actual opposing players (partially active/active).
